In connection with the Swedish Presidency of the Council of the European Union<\/strong>, the most important European players in the field of social economy gather in Gothenburg, \u00a0at a conference highlighting the role of social economy in creating a stronger and more resilient Europe.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n

The \u201cSocial Economy 2023 \u2013 Building a stronger and resilient Europe<\/strong><\/em>\u201c\u2019 conference is planned in close cooperation with European experts and stakeholders, and it will be focused on the\u00a0Social Economy Action Plan<\/strong>\u00a0and its implementation. It builds on last year\u2019s Strasbourg conference \u201cSocial Economy \u2013 Future of Europe\u201d which was included in the official program of the French Presidency and it\u00a0bridges to the equivalent event to be held under the coming Spanish presidency in San Sebastian, on 13-14 November 2023<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n

The conference also aims to highlight the circumstances around social economy in both southern and northern Europe, thus providing a basis for Council\u2019s further work in this sector.<\/p>\n

The draft program will be published soon.<\/p>\n

Date: 8th of June 2023 at the School of Economics, University of Gothenburg, although parallel international meetings and events will take place on 7 and 9 June 2023 in the city.<\/p>\n

The conference is organized by\u00a0Coompanion<\/strong>\u00a0in collaboration with Social Economy Europe, REVES and CECOP<\/strong>. With support from the\u00a0Region V\u00e4stra G\u00f6taland<\/strong>,\u00a0School of Business, Economics and Law at the University of Gothenburg and Fremia<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
