RIPESS has participated in both dialogues with the objective of contributing to the promotion of SSE and bringing the vision of local SSE projects to international fora.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>RIPESS EU joined\u00a0the <strong>3rd edition of the European Policy Dialogue<\/strong>\u00a0organised by Global Social Economy Forum (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.gsef-net.org\/en\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>GSEF<\/strong><\/a>), our long term partners and collaborators.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>This year, the Dialogue took\u00a0place in Liverpool, United Kingdom,\u00a0between the 18th and 19th of November 2019, around the theme \u2018<strong>Building diversity and inclusion through the social solidarity economy<\/strong>\u2019. A rich and open debate took place around this theme with a specific focus on 3 major topics:<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li><strong>How local governments must proceed with new approaches to create true inclusion<\/strong><\/li>\r\n<li><strong>Moving beyond inclusion through innovative work-integration practices and policies<\/strong><\/li>\r\n<li><strong>Social and Solidarity Economy: a\u00a0driving force in enabling diverse future leaders<\/strong><\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"799\" height=\"533\" class=\"wp-image-6360\" src=\"https:\/\/europe.ripess.rio20.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2020\/02\/GSEF-EU-liverpool-2-Dec-2019.jpg\" alt=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dev.eu.ripess.rio20.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2020\/02\/GSEF-EU-liverpool-2-Dec-2019.jpg 799w, https:\/\/dev.eu.ripess.rio20.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2020\/02\/GSEF-EU-liverpool-2-Dec-2019-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/dev.eu.ripess.rio20.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2020\/02\/GSEF-EU-liverpool-2-Dec-2019-768x512.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 799px) 100vw, 799px\" \/><\/figure>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>As RIPESS EU, we presented our work based mostly on the third topic, but of course with connection to all important SSE areas. Regarding the location of this year GSEF event, it was\u00a0organized in partnership with the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority (LCRCA) and the University of Liverpool. And they were quite amazing hosts.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>The day after the conference they organized an SSE actors tour across the city. Liverpool City Region is indeed a dynamic and vibrant SSE scene where they employ over 40,000 people in SSE organizations. We visited <strong>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/pages\/category\/Community-Center\/Kuumba-Imani-358662560814641\/\" target=\"_blank\">Kuumba Imani Millenium Centre<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>, main local spot for community activism,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.baltic-creative.com\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Baltic Creative CIC<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0,a unique area for gathering start-up and creative industries with huge focus on ownership and sharing, and<strong>\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/homebaked.org.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\">Homebaked<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0Bakery and Community Land Trust, a place of inspiration, with the best pie in the world and an amazing struggle against gentrification and speculative capital assault on land and houses.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-button aligncenter is-style-outline is-style-outline--42fe824fb35ddbf40f72922d6037502b\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link has-background has-cyan-bluish-gray-background-color\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ripess.org\/ripess-contributes-to-gsefs-political-dialogues-in-europe-and-latin-america\/?lang=en\">Full article on Ripess.org<\/a><\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><em>Written by Alfonso Cotera (RIPESS LAC) and Drazen Simlesa (RIPESS E<\/em>U)<\/p>\r\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The GSEF Regional Policy Dialogues are organized to promote the exchange of knowledge between policy-makers and key SSE actors.
