{"id":4218,"date":"2018-09-26T10:45:34","date_gmt":"2018-09-26T09:45:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ripess.eu\/?p=4218"},"modified":"2021-03-29T16:16:48","modified_gmt":"2021-03-29T15:16:48","slug":"flowing-on-the-ripess-stream","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dev.eu.ripess.rio20.net\/en\/flowing-on-the-ripess-stream\/","title":{"rendered":"Flowing through the RIPESS stream"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>By Drazen Simlesa (Good Economy Platform &#8211; ZMAG)<\/em><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Very often\u00a0local\u00a0activists are reluctant to join international networks:\u00a0they don\u2019t see direct benefits\u00a0for themselves, it is time consuming\u00a0and\u00a0they give up very soon because\u00a0the\u00a0network didn\u2019t solve some of their daily issues\u00a0or\u00a0meet some expectation. But\u00a0a\u00a0network is not here because of that. It is here to\u00a0allow people to\u00a0meet, to inspire\u00a0each other, to connect, to not\u00a0feel\u00a0alone, to be empowered\u00a0and gain new strength, to make us more visible and accepted\u2026<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>So yes,\u00a0we network together\u00a0also to help\u00a0and\u00a0mutually support each other, to create\u00a0a\u00a0better world, to push us\u00a0beyond our territories, to explore our horizon. I can\u2019t describe better what RIPESS means to me. Here in Croatia we are still flowing through\u00a0theRIPESS stream that we got during\u00a0the\u00a0Good Economy Conference and our network General\u00a0Assembly\u00a0that\u00a0took place\u00a0in Zagreb\u00a0last\u00a0June. We are still riding that wave.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>One short drop: during those days\u00a0we had a meeting with representatives of Croatian cities and one of the RIPESS members,\u00a0RTES \u2013 the French network of local authorities for Solidarity Economy.\u00a0The main subject of the meeting\u00a0was how to\u00a0integrate\u00a0solidarity economy\u00a0within Croatian cities in partnership with administrations and other important actors in\u00a0the\u00a0local community.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Today, not even three months later with some of them we are applying for two open calls for project proposals, meeting and communicating on a daily basis, preparing the ground for real implementation of solidarity economy in\u00a0our\u00a0local environments, we are visible and accepted partner to them.
