{"id":337463,"date":"2024-04-16T08:27:54","date_gmt":"2024-04-16T06:27:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ripess.eu\/?p=337463"},"modified":"2024-04-16T08:27:54","modified_gmt":"2024-04-16T06:27:54","slug":"socioeco-org-resources-for-april-2024","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dev.eu.ripess.rio20.net\/en\/socioeco-org-resources-for-april-2024\/","title":{"rendered":"Socioeco.org resources for April 2024"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">In the context of the upcoming European elections, resources on Socioeco.org remind us of the European Commission\u2019s action plan on the social economy of 2021, of the recommendations of the Council of the European Union on developing social economy framework conditions, and, importantly, of our responses to them.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">On 9 December 2021, the European Commission adopted a new action plan on the social economy. In its December Newsletter, RIPESS responded followingly to the action plan, in an article by RIPESS general delegate Jason Nardi,<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.socioeco.org\/bdf_fiche-document-7920_en.html\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> Social Economy Action Plan: towards a real change in the EU policy<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">This then was the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.socioeco.org\/bdf_fiche-document-9378_en.html\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">RIPESS EUROPE contribution on the Recommendation of the Council of the <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">European<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Union<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> of November 9th, 2023 on developing social economy framework conditions<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The policy brief brings two main points to the forefront : Member States must develop ambitious strategic and regulatory frameworks that take into account the diversity of social economy initiatives, and secondly, Member States must develop public policies for SSE actors based on sustainable, operational funding and in partnership, going beyond a profit and market access approach.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">In<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">teresting then also to read on developments in the lead up to the social economy action plan and framework conditions recommendations, in the 2019 <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">International Centre of Research and Information on the Public, Social and Cooperative Economy (<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">CIRIEC) working paper, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.socioeco.org\/bdf_fiche-document-6669_en.html\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Recent Evolutions of the Social Economy in the European Union<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, by its authors Chaves and Monz\u00f3n.\u00a0 The objective of the study was to study the evolution of social economy in Europe, in terms of concepts and movements, the public policies adopted to enhance the social economy sector, and thirdly to measure the weight of the social economy in EU member countries.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">To find more information on this thematic, go to the keyword: Social economy in the European Union(UE) : <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.socioeco.org\/bdf_motcle-thema-192_en.html\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">http:\/\/www.socioeco.org\/bdf_motcle-thema-192_en.html<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.
